Strike 3 Holdings Pennsylvania: 20 New Cases (Free Guide)
Strike 3 Holdings Pennsylvania filings surged last week. Strike 3 Holdings filed four new John Doe copyright cases in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania on October 28, 2026, and 16 more in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania on October 29, 2026. Each case names one internet subscriber identified only by an IP address. Below you will find every case, the Exhibit A details, the assigned judges where court records show one, where each case stands as of October 30, 2026, and what usually comes next. If your internet provider sends you a letter about one of these cases, call or tap (312) 201-8310 for a free, confidential consultation.
Strike 3 Holdings Pennsylvania filings: 20 cases filed October 28 and 29, 2026
The first digit of each docket number is the courthouse location. In the Eastern District, “2:” is Philadelphia (15 cases) and “5:” is Allentown/Reading (1 case). In the Middle District, “1:” is Harrisburg (3 cases) and “3:” is Scranton (1 case).
The table lists details from each case’s Exhibit A, the document attached to the complaint that lists the IP address, the approximate location, the internet provider, and the works Strike 3 Holdings says were shared. Links in the Docket column open the Exhibit A and, where available, the complaint for each case. In the Eastern District cases, Strike 3 Holdings also puts the IP address in the case caption.

Source: court records for each case, including the complaint and Exhibit A, as of October 30, 2026. The city and provider come from Exhibit A and reflect the IP address, not a named person. “Not on the documents we have” means that detail is not on the court documents we have reviewed so far, not that it is missing from the case. For earlier filings in this state, see Strike 3 Holdings Pennsylvania. For how these letters work in general, see our ISP letter guide.
What the Exhibit A details show
- 20 cases in two days. Four Middle District cases were filed on October 28, 2026, and 16 Eastern District cases, numbered from 2:26-cv-08276 to 5:26-cv-08295, were filed on October 29, 2026.
- Philadelphia has the most. 15 of the 20 Strike 3 Holdings Pennsylvania cases are at the Philadelphia courthouse location.
- 613 works in total. The 20 Exhibit A documents list between 24 and 57 works each. The largest, 3:26-cv-03184, lists 57 works (11/29/2023 to 10/02/2026).
- 14 different communities. The IP addresses trace to Philadelphia, PA (7 cases), Hershey, PA, Gettysburg, PA, New Cumberland, PA, Clarks Summit, PA, Bensalem, PA, Souderton, PA, Phoenixville, PA, Havertown, PA, Levittown, PA, Southampton, PA, Pipersville, PA, Landenberg, PA, and Allentown, PA.
- Three providers. 12 cases involve Comcast Cable; Seven cases involve Verizon Fios; One case involves Astound Broadband.
- Very different time spans. In 2:26-cv-08294 the activity listed covers 1 days (10/01/2026 to 10/01/2026). In 5:26-cv-08295 it runs from 11/25/2023 to 10/13/2026.
- Recent activity. The latest date listed in any of the Exhibit A documents is 10/23/2026, six days before filing.
- Overlapping titles. 43 file hashes appear in more than one Strike 3 Holdings Pennsylvania Exhibit A, so the same titles show up across different cases.
These details matter because the account holder named in a later subpoena response is not always the person who used the connection. A shared home network, a roommate, a guest, or an open router can all sit behind one IP address.

What the pattern shows
15 different judges drew the 20 assigned Strike 3 Holdings Pennsylvania cases. Judge Keli M. Neary has 1:26-cv-03180 and 1:26-cv-03183; Judge Nitza I. Quiñones Alejandro has 2:26-cv-08276 and 2:26-cv-08290; Judge John F. Murphy has 2:26-cv-08279 and 2:26-cv-08287; Judge Mark A. Kearney has 2:26-cv-08281 and 2:26-cv-08282; Judge Juan R. Sanchez has 2:26-cv-08285 and 2:26-cv-08294. Judge Jennifer P. Wilson, Judge Joseph F. Saporito Jr., Judge Harvey Bartle III, Judge Karen S. Marston, Judge Kelley Brisbon Hodge, Judge Wendy Beetlestone, Judge Chad F. Kenney, Judge Timothy J. Savage, Judge John M. Younge, and Judge Joseph F. Leeson Jr. each have one case.
In 5:26-cv-08295, Judge Joseph F. Leeson Jr. entered an initial procedural order on 10/29/2026. That is a standard case-management order, not a ruling on a subpoena.
As of October 30, 2026, none of the dockets has a motion asking to subpoena the internet provider yet, so no order and no order conditions exist so far.
That is normal this early in a case. The next step is usually a motion for leave to serve a subpoena on the provider before the discovery conference. Once a judge rules, the order sets the conditions the provider and Strike 3 Holdings must follow, such as limiting the request to a name and address and setting a notice period. Because each judge writes their own order, the conditions can differ from case to case. You can see how quickly judges ruled in another district on our Strike 3 Holdings Illinois lawsuits page.
What this means if you are the John Doe
- No letter has gone out yet in these cases. A provider letter normally follows a court order, and none of these Strike 3 Holdings Pennsylvania cases has one so far.
- The letter will name the case. When it arrives, it should list the court, the docket number, and the IP address. Compare them with the table above.
- The letter sets your timeline. The date in your provider’s letter is the date to plan around.
- Your name is not in the public case. At this stage each case lists only an IP address.

What usually happens next in Strike 3 Holdings Pennsylvania cases
- Strike 3 Holdings files a John Doe complaint identified only by an IP address. That step is done in all 20 cases.
- It asks the court for permission to subpoena the internet provider before the usual discovery conference. As of October 30, 2026, we have not seen that request filed in any of these cases.
- If the court agrees, the provider notifies the account holder. That is the letter most people receive.
- After the notice period in the court order, the provider may release the account holder’s name and address unless something is filed.
Use the dates in your own letter. Timelines in Strike 3 Holdings Pennsylvania cases depend on the judge and on the terms of each order. See our provider pages for Verizon, AT&T Internet, Spectrum, Cox, Optimum, and Frontier.

Antonelli Law® has represented 106 clients who live in Pennsylvania in federal copyright matters. We handle Strike 3 Holdings Pennsylvania matters by phone, email, and secure upload through our contact page, so you do not need to travel to Philadelphia, Harrisburg, or Scranton to talk with us.
Back around 2006 or 2007, we represented a national technology client that dealt with data centers. We traveled to the Lancaster County Courthouse to take the deposition of someone relating to a lawsuit our client filed alleging someone breached their fiduciary duties regarding their network cybersecurity responsibilities. My best memory was of a terrific bakery there! I’d be willing to bet it was the La Dolce Vita Courthouse Bakery, which opened in 2005 and operated by the Stucchi family.

Client review of Melissa Ross
“Woking with Melissa was fantastic. She was really effective in communicating with me in layman terms; translating legalize, explaining the process and making me feel I was in really good hands. She was always reachable and extremely prompt in communicating the back and forth between opposing counsel. I couldn’t have asked for more from Melissa. Because of the time zone, I was catching her late in her evenings and she always responded – THANK YOU. Sometimes you get lucky with the initial interview process, and I certainly did.”
