Strike 3 Holdings New York filings kept coming on October 29, 2026, when Strike 3 Holdings filed 10 more John Doe copyright cases in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, one day after 10 others. Each case names one internet subscriber identified only by an IP address. Below you will find every case, the Exhibit A details, the assigned judges where court records show one, where each case stands as of October 30, 2026, and what usually comes next. If your internet provider sends you a letter about one of these cases, call or tap (312) 201-8310 for a free, confidential consultation.
Strike 3 Holdings New York filings: 10 cases filed October 29, 2026
All 10 cases were filed the same day. The “1:” at the start of each docket number is the courthouse location in Brooklyn.
The table lists details from the Exhibit A for 9 of the 10 cases, the document attached to the complaint that lists the IP address, the approximate location, the internet provider, and the works Strike 3 Holdings says were shared. Links in the Docket column open those documents. For the other cases the City, ISP and Works listed columns say “Not on the documents we have” until we have the Exhibit A. In the Eastern District of New York, Strike 3 Holdings puts the IP address in the case caption, so the IP address column shows the address from each caption until we have the Exhibit A.

Source: court records for each case, including the complaint and Exhibit A, as of October 30, 2026. The city and provider come from Exhibit A and reflect the IP address, not a named person. “Not on the documents we have” means that detail is not on the court documents we have reviewed so far, not that it is missing from the case. For the October 28 cases, see Strike 3 Holdings New York filings. For all New York filings in one place, see our Strike 3 Holdings New York lawsuits hub and our Eastern District of New York page. For how these letters work in general, see our ISP letter guide.
What the Exhibit A details show
- 10 cases in one day. All 10 Strike 3 Holdings New York cases were filed on October 29, 2026, numbered from 1:26-cv-06953 to 1:26-cv-06962.
- The IP address is in the caption. Each case is captioned as Strike 3 Holdings, LLC v. John Doe subscriber assigned IP address, followed by the address. Search the table for the IP address in your letter.
- Two cases went straight to a magistrate judge. Under the court’s direct assignment program, 1:26-cv-06953 and 1:26-cv-06960 are assigned to a magistrate judge as the presiding judge.
- 333 works in total. The nine Exhibit A documents we have list between 25 and 66 works each. The largest, 1:26-cv-06957, lists 66 works (09/20/2026 to 10/12/2026).
- Two different communities. The IP addresses trace to Queens, NY (6 cases) and Brooklyn, NY (3 cases).
- Two providers. Eight cases involve Verizon Fios; One case involves Optimum Online.
- Very different time spans. In 1:26-cv-06957 the activity listed covers 23 days (09/20/2026 to 10/12/2026). In 1:26-cv-06961 it runs from 01/19/2024 to 10/22/2026.
- Recent activity. The latest date listed in any of the Exhibit A documents is 10/22/2026, seven days before filing.
- Overlapping titles. Six file hashes appear in more than one Strike 3 Holdings New York Exhibit A, so the same titles show up across different cases.
These details matter because the account holder named in a later subpoena response is not always the person who used the connection. A shared home network, a roommate, a guest, or an open router can all sit behind one IP address.

What the pattern shows
Seven different judges drew the 9 assigned Strike 3 Holdings New York cases. Judge Carol Bagley Amon has 1:26-cv-06954, 1:26-cv-06958, and 1:26-cv-06962. Magistrate Judge Robert M. Levy, Judge Diane Gujarati, Judge Kiyo A. Matsumoto, Judge Brian M. Cogan, Magistrate Judge Joseph A. Marutollo, and Judge Natasha C. Merle each have one case.
In 1:26-cv-06953 and 1:26-cv-06960, a magistrate judge is the presiding judge under the court’s direct assignment program, unless a party declines to consent.
Magistrate judges referred so far: Magistrate Judge Lara K. Eshkenazi, Magistrate Judge Marcia M. Henry, Magistrate Judge Peggy Cross-Goldenberg, Magistrate Judge Robert M. Levy, Magistrate Judge Taryn A. Merkl. In many districts the magistrate judge is the one who rules on an early subpoena request.
In 1:26-cv-06959, the court entered a scheduling order on 10/29/2026 setting a telephone initial status conference for 12/18/2026. That is a routine case-management order, not a ruling on a subpoena.
As of October 30, 2026, none of the 9 dockets we reviewed has a motion asking to subpoena the internet provider yet, so no order and no order conditions exist so far in those cases. We had not yet reviewed the full docket for the other one case (1:26-cv-06955) by publication time.
That is normal this early in a case. The next step is usually a motion for leave to serve a subpoena on the provider before the discovery conference. Once a judge rules, the order sets the conditions the provider and Strike 3 Holdings must follow, such as limiting the request to a name and address and setting a notice period. Because each judge writes their own order, the conditions can differ from case to case. You can see how quickly judges ruled in another district on our Strike 3 Holdings Illinois lawsuits page.
What this means if you are the John Doe
- No letter has gone out yet in these cases. A provider letter normally follows a court order, and none of these Strike 3 Holdings New York cases has one so far.
- The letter will name the case. When it arrives, it should list the court, the docket number, and the IP address. Compare them with the table above.
- The letter sets your timeline. The date in your provider’s letter is the date to plan around.
- Your name is not in the public case. At this stage each case lists only an IP address.

What usually happens next in Strike 3 Holdings New York cases
- Strike 3 Holdings files a John Doe complaint identified only by an IP address. That step is done in all 10 cases.
- It asks the court for permission to subpoena the internet provider before the usual discovery conference. As of October 30, 2026, we have not seen that request filed in any of these cases.
- If the court agrees, the provider notifies the account holder. That is the letter most people receive.
- After the notice period in the court order, the provider may release the account holder’s name and address unless something is filed.
Use the dates in your own letter. Timelines in Strike 3 Holdings New York cases depend on the judge and on the terms of each order. See our provider pages for Verizon, AT&T Internet, Spectrum, Cox, Optimum, and Frontier.

great experience with Antonelli
“I hired Jeffrey Antonelli for a copyright infringement issue (Strike3) in Massachusetts. It was a very good decision. He has dealt with many such cases and immediately put me at ease. He ended up negotiating a settlement that was much less than what I told him was my limit. He understood my privacy concerns and ensured that my name stayed out of any communication with opposing counsel, court filings etc. The whole issue was wrapped up within 3 weeks. He charges a non-negligible fee, but it is 100% worth it if you want to settle quickly and quietly and move on.”
