Share

Did your internet provider send you a letter about the Strike 3 Holdings Oklahoma cases filed November 2, 2026? On November 2, 2026, Strike 3 Holdings filed three John Doe copyright cases in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma: 5:26-cv-03160, 5:26-cv-03161, and 5:26-cv-03162. Each names one internet subscriber identified only by an IP address, in Edmond, Oklahoma City, and Yukon. Below you will find each case, the Exhibit A details, the assigned judges, where each stands as of November 4, 2026, and what usually comes next. If your internet provider sends you a letter about one of these cases, call or tap (312) 201-8310 for a free, confidential consultation.

Strike 3 Holdings Oklahoma filing: three new cases filed November 2, 2026

The “5:” at the start of the docket number is the courthouse location in Oklahoma City.

The table lists details from each case’s Exhibit A, the document attached to the complaint that lists the IP address, the approximate location, the internet provider, and the works Strike 3 Holdings says were shared. Links in the Docket column open the Exhibit A and, where available, the complaint for each case. In these cases the caption names only a John Doe, so the IP address comes from the Exhibit A.

Source: court records for each case, including the complaint and Exhibit A, as of November 4, 2026. The city and provider come from Exhibit A and reflect the IP address, not a named person. “Not on the papers we have” means that detail is not on the court documents we have reviewed so far, not that it is missing from the case. For all Oklahoma cases in one place, see our Strike 3 Holdings Oklahoma lawsuits hub. For how these letters work in general, see our ISP letter guide.

What the Exhibit A details show

  • Three cases on one day. All three were filed November 2, 2026 in the Oklahoma City courthouse location.
  • 434 works listed in total. The Exhibit A for 5:26-cv-03160 lists 163 works (01/29/2024 to 09/01/2026), 5:26-cv-03161 lists 194 works (01/04/2024 to 09/11/2026), and 5:26-cv-03162 lists 77 works (11/25/2025 to 09/15/2026).
  • Three different communities. The IP addresses trace to Edmond, Oklahoma City, and Yukon, OK.
  • Two providers. Two cases involve Cox Communications and one involves AT&T Internet.
  • Recent activity. The latest date listed in any of the Exhibit A documents is 09/15/2026, 48 days before filing.

These details matter because the account holder named in a later subpoena response is not always the person who used the connection. A shared home network, a roommate, a guest, or an open router can all sit behind one IP address.

Judges and early subpoena motions in the Strike 3 Holdings Oklahoma cases

We checked court records for the Strike 3 Holdings Oklahoma cases on November 4, 2026. Each case already has an assigned judge, and the three cases went to three different district judges. None has been referred to a magistrate judge so far. The court lists its judges on its judges page.

Docket Courthouse location Assigned judge Early subpoena motion Order
5:26-cv-03160 Oklahoma City Judge Timothy D. DeGiusti Not filed as of 11/04/2026 None yet
5:26-cv-03161 Oklahoma City Judge Charles Goodwin Not filed as of 11/04/2026 None yet
5:26-cv-03162 Oklahoma City Judge Bernard M. Jones, II Not filed as of 11/04/2026 Disclosure order (11/03/2026); no subpoena order yet

What the pattern shows

Judge Timothy D. DeGiusti has 5:26-cv-03160, Judge Charles Goodwin has 5:26-cv-03161, and Judge Bernard M. Jones, II has 5:26-cv-03162.

Judge Jones has already entered one order in his case. On November 3, 2026, the day after filing, he ordered Strike 3 Holdings to cure its missing limited liability company disclosure statement under the court’s local rule by November 9, 2026. Nothing similar has been entered in the other two cases so far.

As of November 4, 2026, none of the three dockets has a motion asking to subpoena the internet provider yet, so no subpoena order and no order conditions exist so far.

That is normal this early in a case. The next step is usually a motion for leave to serve a subpoena on the provider before the discovery conference. Once a judge rules, the order sets the conditions the provider and Strike 3 Holdings must follow, such as limiting the request to a name and address and setting a notice period. Because each judge writes their own order, the conditions can differ from case to case. You can see the other Oklahoma cases on our Strike 3 Holdings Oklahoma lawsuits hub.

What this means if you are the John Doe

  • No letter has gone out yet in these cases. A provider letter normally follows a court order, and these Strike 3 Holdings Oklahoma cases do not have one so far.
  • The letter will name the case. When it arrives, it should list the court, the docket number, and the IP address. Compare them with the table above.
  • The letter sets your timeline. The date in your provider’s letter is the date to plan around.
  • Your name is not in the public case. At this stage the case lists only an IP address.

What usually happens next in Strike 3 Holdings Oklahoma cases

  1. Strike 3 Holdings files a John Doe complaint identified only by an IP address. That step is done in all three cases.
  2. It asks the court for permission to subpoena the internet provider before the usual discovery conference. As of November 4, 2026, we have not seen that request filed in any of the three cases.
  3. If the court agrees, the provider notifies the account holder. That is the letter most people receive.
  4. After the notice period in the court order, the provider may release the account holder’s name and address unless something is filed.

Use the dates in your own letter. Timelines in Strike 3 Holdings Oklahoma cases depend on the judge and on the terms of each order. In these Strike 3 Holdings Oklahoma cases, the internet providers listed are Cox Communications (2 cases) and AT&T Internet (1 case). Each provider would send the subpoena letter for its own case. Our ISP letter guide explains what the letter means.

Client review of Melissa Ross

“Woking with Melissa was fantastic. She was really effective in communicating with me in layman terms; translating legalize, explaining the process and making me feel I was in really good hands. She was always reachable and extremely prompt in communicating the back and forth between opposing counsel. I couldn’t have asked for more from Melissa. Because of the time zone, I was catching her late in her evenings and she always responded – THANK YOU. Sometimes you get lucky with the initial interview process, and I certainly did.”

Which courthouse is my case in?

Look at the first digit of the docket number on your letter or court order. In the Western District of Oklahoma, 5: is Oklahoma City. All three cases filed November 2, 2026 (5:26-cv-03160, 5:26-cv-03161, and 5:26-cv-03162) are in Oklahoma City.
