New Yorkers Sued by Criminal Productions Inc for Movie Download of Movie “Criminal”

Criminal Productions, Inc. , the copyright holder of the film “Criminal” has filed numerous copyright infringement lawsuits in New York going after alleged internet downloaders of the film. “Criminal” stars Ryan Reynolds, Kevin Costner, and Gary Oldman. The film plot involves the implantation of a dead CIA agent’s memories into the mind of a convict.

The most recent cases are:

Criminal Productions Inc. v Does 1-10 7:16-cv-07900-KMK
Criminal Productions, Inc. v. Does 1-4 – 16-cv-04360

We expect the Eastern District Court of New York to issue subpoenas to internet service providers (ISPs) in New York to reveal the names of those persons whose name is associated with the IP addresses logged as downloading the movie. Criminal Productions, Inc. is represented by attorneys Ashly E Sands and Jason M Drangel of Epstein Drangel LLP, New York, who are also representing LHF Productions, Inc. who are suing New Yorkers alleged to have illegally downloaded the movie “London Has Fallen.”

The first case filed by Criminal Productions, Inc. allege that persons living in Queens and Suffolk using Verizon FiOS internet service illegally downloaded the movie “Criminal” using file-sharing software including BitComet 0.1.4, μTorrent 3.4.7, μTorrent Mac 1.8.6, and μTorrent3.4.7.
