Strike 3 Holdings Hawaii Filings: Spectrum and Hawaiian Telcom
Strike 3 Holdings Hawaii cases: three new John Doe copyright filings were entered on October 8, 2026.
Two name Spectrum. One names Hawaiian Telcom. If a letter from Spectrum or Hawaiian Telcom lists one of these docket numbers or one of these IP addresses, the letter is usually notice that the provider was ordered to identify an accountholder’s name and address. It is not a summons, and it is not a finding that the person who pays the bill downloaded anything. As Supreme Court Justice said earlier this year “When [an ISP] receives a copyright-violation notice… the notice specifies only which connection was used to infringe, not who used it to commit infringement.”

What a Strike 3 Holdings Hawaii case is
Strike 3 Holdings, LLC is an adult-film company. Its complaints list titles from sites such as Blacked, Blacked Raw, Vixen, Tushy, Tushy Raw, Slayed, and Milfy. The claim is copyright infringement under federal law. It is not a state-court case and not a criminal charge.
These cases start as John Doe lawsuits. Strike 3 names an internet subscriber only by an IP address — for example “John Doe subscriber assigned IP address 76.39.34.7.” The complaint alleges that someone using that IP address downloaded and shared its movies with BitTorrent. An attached Exhibit A lists each work, a timestamp in UTC, and a total “works infringed” count. That count is an allegation in the filing, not a bill.
The person who pays the internet bill may not be the person who used the connection. A housemate, guest, or someone on an open network can share the same address.
What the letter from Spectrum or Hawaiian Telcom usually is
After filing, Strike 3 asks the court for permission to send a subpoena to the internet provider. If the court allows it, the provider writes to the subscriber. The letter usually includes the case number, the IP address, and a date. That date is often the provider’s date for responding to the subpoena, not a deadline to answer a named complaint.
None of these three dockets, on the documents reviewed for this post, yet shows an order allowing an ISP subpoena. What is on each docket is the complaint with Exhibit A, a civil cover sheet, a copyright report, and a corporate disclosure identifying General Media Systems, LLC as the parent. Counsel of record is Christian L. Kamau of VIRTUESQ LLC in Honolulu.
