Strike 3 Holdings Files 60 Lawsuits in Florida
According to the Miami Herald, the 60 copyright infringement lawsuits filed against Florida defendants at the beginning of the month are part of 1,200 cases brought by Strike 3 Holdings across the country. The company has one of the highest paid-subscriber volumes of any adult website in the United States. Strike 3 Holdings is facing the problem of stolen content leading them to contract with xTakeDowns.com to send about 50,000 take-down notices per day and file copyright infringement lawsuits against anonymous BitTorrent users to deter piracy. These cases have grown from 4 percent of all copyright cases in 2010 to 58 percent in 2015 according to the Miami Herald.
