Plastic the Movie Limited Files in Southern District of Florida

Plastic the Movie Limited has filed  filed nearly 100  federal copyright infringement lawsuits in the space of just a few weeks involving the film titled “Plastic.” The film is a British crime comedy based on the real life story of Saq Ahmed. It was directed by Leon Julian Gilbey and features Ed Speleers, Will Poulter and Alfie Allen. The film was released in 2014.

Plastic the Movie Limited has filed 24 lawsuits in the Southern District of Florida, 53 lawsuits in the Middle District of Florida, and 19 in Pennsylvania.  The company is represented by Attorney Christopher Fiore in Pennsylvania and in Florida by Keith Lipscomb and Daniel and David Tamaroff.

Like other BitTorrent peer-to-peer file-sharing cases, Plastic the Movie Limited accuses defendants of copyright infringement by using software like BitTorrent and the internet to obtain the film “Plastic” without paying the appropriate license fee.
