How Did Strike 3 Holdings Find Me?

Each internet connection will have a unique IP address. This IP address is specific to that connection. By using various methods and/or technology, Strike 3 Holdings was able to allegedly track illegal downloads of their content to your IP address.

Once Strike 3 Holdings has your IP address, they can then do a ‘reverse lookup’ to figure out who provides the internet to your said home. Internet providers may include Verizon, Comcast, Cox, AT&T, etc.
