Meet Antonelli Law’s Florida Local Counsel

With more than 50 new BitTorrent copyright cases filed by Good Man Productions and Poplar Oaks recently, most of them in Florida, we thought this would be a good time to introduce our Florida local counsel Jonathan Rupprechet

We connected with Jonathan earlier this year due to our mutual interest in commercial drones, also known as Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). Jonathan has an upcoming book on UAS being published by the American Bar Association, and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Magna Cum Laude, and a Juris Doctor from Florida International University School of Law. He is a commercial pilot for single and multi-engine aircraft ratings and also a flight instructor for airplanes and instruments.

While in law school Jonathan gained valuable courtroom experience interning for Judge Beatrice Butchko of the 11^th Judicial Circuit of Florida as well as Judge Jorge Cueto at the downtown Miami courthouse. He also gained valuable criminal law experience prosecuting cases at the State Attorney’s office in West Palm Beach as a certified legal intern.

What struck me about Jonathan aside from our mutual interest in drones was his work ethic and character for honesty. Sounding like someone like myself, I knew I wanted to work with him.  And, since Jonathan also happens to be located in the southern Florida epicenter of BitTorrent copyright litigation, we felt adding Jonathan to our already strong team of BitTorrent copyright defense counsel would make for a good fit.
