Dallas Buyers Club Sues Nearly 800 Nationwide

Dallas Buyers Club LLC, the copyright owner of the Oscar winning motion picture starring Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner, and Jared Leto,  begun an apparent nationwide litigation campaign in February 2014 suing internet users it alleges illegally downloaded the movie Dallas Buyers Club using BitTorrent or similar peer-to-peer file-sharing programs.

Last week, on April 26 2014, Dallas Buyers Club LLC began suing Michigan residents in both the Eastern District of Michigan and the Western District of Michigan in the following cases:

Eastern District of Michigan
•    Dallas Buyers Club, LLC v. Does 1-11 14-cv-11649
•    Dallas Buyers Club, LLC v. Does 1-12 14-cv-11650
•    Dallas Buyers Club, LLC v. Does 1-14 14-cv-11652
•    Dallas Buyers Club, LLC v. Does 1-15 14-cv-11653
•    Dallas Buyers Club, LLC v. Does 1-15 14-cv-11655

Western District of Michigan:
•    Dallas Buyers Club, LLC v. Does 1-25 14-cv-00453
•    Dallas Buyers Club, LLC v. Does 1-25 14-cv-00454
•    Dallas Buyers Club, LLC v. Does 1-25 14-cv-00455
•    Dallas Buyers Club, LLC v. Does 1-25 14-cv-00456
