Dallas Buyers Club LLC Strikes Illinois Again – 2100 Defendants Nationwide

Share

On June 30 2014, Dallas Buyers Club LLC filed eight new federal copyright lawsuits in the Northern District Court of Illinois. These new lawsuits target an additional 310 unnamed Doe defendants.

Dallas Buyers Club LLC alleges these as-yet anonymous Doe defendants illegally downloaded the movie Dallas Buyers Club using BitTorrent or similar peer-to-peer file-sharing programs without paying the appropriate license fee.

Its is not a good idea to download the Dallas Buyers Club movie using BitTorrent or similar software, especially in Illinois.  If you are a parent make sure your children are not doing this, as being a target of a federal lawsuit like this over a movie download is not fun, not fair, and is avoidable.

These newest lawsuits brings the national litigation campaign by Dallas Buyers Club LLC to a total of 2100 defendants accused of copyright infringement by obtaining the movie using BitTorrent or similar software. 1449 defendants are in Illinois alone.

Attorney Jeffrey Antonelli is admitted to the Northern District of Illinois federal court’s trial bar and general bar. For more information and a list of cases filed nationwide visit http://www.antonelli-law.com/Dallas_Buyers_Club__LLC.php
