Dallas Buyers Club Enters Indiana and Revs Up Wisconsin

On July 8 2014, Dallas Buyers Club LLC filed new federal copyright lawsuits in Indiana for the first time and added new lawsuits in Wisconsin. These new lawsuits target an additional 145 unnamed Doe defendants.

Dallas Buyers Club LLC alleges these as-yet anonymous Doe defendants illegally downloaded the movie Dallas Buyers Club using BitTorrent or similar peer-to-peer file-sharing programs without paying the appropriate license fee.

Its is not a good idea to download the Dallas Buyers Club movie using BitTorrent or similar software, especially in states like Indiana and Wisconsin where Dallas Buyers Club LLC is actively suing. .  If you are a parent make sure your children are not doing this; if you have roommates make sure your roommates are not doing this, as being a target of a federal lawsuit like this over a movie download is not fun, not fair, and is avoidable. 

These newest lawsuits brings the national litigation campaign by Dallas Buyers Club LLC to a total of 2362 defendants accused of copyright infringement by obtaining the movie using BitTorrent or similar software.
